Steve, thanks for your comments. It is one amazing building. I flew past the Burj this morning on my way from Dubai to London, and it looked just as impressive from the cockpit as it did last night from a rooftop.

These photographs have had very little post-processing. I shot all of them using a Singh Ray Gold'n'Blue polarizing filter, which did a great job of enhancing the colour in the image at the time of capture. It's not a cheap filter, and not one to overuse, but used sparingly, it is a great filter to have in the bag. It does things to the colour of the image which you would be hard-pressed to replicate in Photoshop even if you were prepared to spend a long time trying to do so. As as result, there was not much left for me to do than add input and output sharpening, some perspective-distortion correction (I was shooting these with a 17-35mm lens at the wide end), and that was more or less it.

Another excellent set of photographs Ian. Having never visited, it's difficult to wrap my head around a single building so large and it must be awesome to stand and view it in all its glory.

I would be hard pushed to pick a favourite from these but I'm edging towards Nos. 2 + 5 because of the sense of scale you impart.
I'd be interested to know , have these been 'tweaked' very much? I'm guessing not too much for 1 + 2.

Great work. Looking forward to seeing more.

Regards
